Training in Krav Maga

“There’s only one basic principle of self defense- you must apply the most effective weapon, as soon as possible, to the most vulnerable target”

– Bruce Lee

No martial art experience is necessary in Krav Maga.

For Beginners, our Level 1 classes are the perfect class to take.  You will learn the basic skills such as stances, strikes, kicks, defenses against headlocks and chokes, and getting up from the ground in a safe manner.  Your awareness will be heightened and you will start working under stress.  All of our classes also include a conditioning component such as short runs, kettlebells, medicine balls, and utilizing other fitness equipment so you are “fit to fight”.  Many people lose weight in our program, which is a great bonus.

Because the curriculum is rotational, it doesn’t matter when you come in to class because the curriculum rotates through and there is no set rotation.  It takes about 35-45 classes or 4 to 6 months to master Level 1.  You then will test to move into the intermediate and advanced levels.  In those levels, we work with multiple attackers, more complicated situations, more work on the ground, and weapons techniques.  You do test to move up in each level, similar to a belt test for other martial arts.
